Police Blotter: Accident and Arrest Reports From Waterford PD

Accident Report
A tractor trailer that ran into a telephone pole on Route 85 by Waterford Speedbowl snarled traffic for hours yesterday. The accident, which occurred shortly before noon, forced the closure of Route 85. Traffic was diverted around the scene from Way Hill Road to Butlertown Road to Lakes Pond Road.
One lane of the road opened after about an hour but delays were heavy as crews worked to deal with the resulting damaged pole and fallen wires. Waterford Police did not report that both lanes of the road were open again until 11 p.m.

Marc Connelly, 46, of 1 Green Hills Road, Waterford, was charged with criminal violation of a protective order.
Marabeth Dunn, 46, 11 King Arthur Drive, Niantic, was charged with identity theft in the second degree.
August 1, 2013
Andrew Alfone, 26, of 66A Bayview Street, Wareham, Mass, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs and with failure to drive in the proper lane.
Jessica Hannans, 25, of 10 King Arthur Drive, Niantic, was charged with evading: Serious physical injury/physical injury or property damage, with operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and with unsafe passing.
Wayne Rawls, 49, of 25 Ocean Avenue, Niantic, was charged with evading: Serious physical injury/physical injury or property damage, with operating a motor vehicle when registration/license is refused/suspended/revoked, and with failure to maintain a reasonable distance.

Charles Drayton, 50, of 983 Hartford Road, Waterford, was charged with operating a motor vehicle when registration or license is refused/suspended/revoked, and with failure to have minimum insurance required.
Rodney Green, 46, of 69 Rosemary Street, New London, was charged with larceny in the 6th degree.
August 3, 2013
Michael Lauzon, 20, of 19 Johnson Court, Waterford, was charged with evading: Serious physical injury/physical injury or property damage, with failure to drive in the proper lane, and with speeding.
Mark Frank, 23, of 269 Shore Road, Waterford, was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
Bill Gamarossa, 54, of 19 Jacobs Street, Bristol, was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, with operating a motor vehicle when license or registration is refused/suspended/revoked, with failing to have insurance that meets minimum requirements and with operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
Brandon Plemons, 19, of 65 Pink Row, Uncasville, was charged with larceny in the 6th degree.
August 4, 2013
Sharon Champagne, 45, of 1591 Norwich/New London Turnpike, was charged with operating a motor vehicle when license or registration has been suspended/refused/revoked, and with failing to have proper lights.
August 5, 2013
Hillary Hollingsworth, 22, and Diane Hollingsworth, 48, both of 30 Rogers Hill Road, Waterford, were both charged with disorderly conduct.
