Update: Great Neck Crash Produces No Life-Threatening Injuries

Accident Sends Five To The Hospital

The beginning of Great Neck Road was temporarily closed this afternoon by a two-car accident that sent five people to the hospital.

None of the five people had life-threatening injuries, Police Sgt. James Dimmock said.

A car pulled out of a driveway onto Great Neck Road, in front of another vehicle, causing a collision, Goshen Fire Chief Neil Wiseman said. Three people were in one car, two people in the other; and all five were transported to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital, Wiseman said.

The five people were out of their cars, waiting for ambulances to show up when they got there, Wiseman said. However, adrenaline could have kicked in, and they could be hurt much worse than they think, he said.

The accident happened at the beginning of Great Neck Road, right past where Avery Lane ends. The road was temporarily shut down as firefighters and police cleared the scene.
