Expect Delays on Rt. 85 This Week

The delays will be related to the construction of Charter Oak Federal Credit Union's new headquarters.

Traffic will be interrupted on Rt. 85 this week between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. because of the construction of Charter Oak Federal Credit Union’s new headquarters, according to a Waterford Police Department press release.

Blasting is being done at the intersection of Industrial Drive and Rt. 85 by site contractor Kobyluck Brothers LLC between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. from today to Friday as part of construction of the credit union’s new headquarters. When blasting is set to occur, the roads will be closed in both directions for about 10 minutes, according to the release.

The new headquarters is expected to be open in November of 2013. For more information about the project, click here.
