Butlertown Road Closed Due to Downed Wires [UPDATED]

The Waterford Police Department has reported that the road is closed in the area of 46 Butlertown Road due to power lines and a tree across the roadway. Please avoid this area if possible. Estimated time before the roadway is open is 4 to 6 hours, between 10:00 p.m. and midnight. 

There are live electrical wires that are down. Emergency crews are responding.  For houses above 46 please access your home by going to Lakes Pond Road. For houses below 46 please access the area from Way Hill Road. 

Local Traffic only will be allowed in the area.

Connecticut Light & Power is aware of the situation and crews are working to repair it. As of 9:15 p.m. CL&P shows 63 customers are still without power. To report an outage please call (800) 286-2828.

[UPDATE] The Waterford Police Department stated that power was restored to the area at approximately 12 midnight.
