Traffic has ground to a halt on I-395 heading north. A single car accident reported at about 3:30 p.m. has forced the closure of northbound lanes from Exit 79A at Route 2A and Exit 81 (Route 2/32). The accident was a serious one, requiring Lifestar helicopter. The going is also extremely slow southbound in that area. Avoid it if you can.
