Community Corner

Multicultural Music Performance at Waterford High!

Through a generous grant provided by the Waterford Education Foundation, the WHS Music Department proudly presents the Steel Dreams Steel Band. On Thursday, June 5, in the Waterford High School auditorium, the band will provide workshops to the community. They will give hour-long presentations on steel drums, as well as on the history and culture of Trinidad and Tobago where the drums originated. The six members of the band will teach students at Waterford High School and other interested community members a variety of musical styles used in a steel band.

The group will be providing the same presentation three times that day: at 10:00 am, 11:30 am, and at 1:00 pm.
