Hot Rod Café Raises $500 for the Boys and Girls Club of Southeastern Connecticut in June

NEW LONDON, Conn. (July 21, 2014) – Hot Rod Café, located at 114 Bank Street in New London, has supported the Boys and Girls Club of Southeastern Connecticut throughout the month of June. The campaign kicked off on Monday, June 2nd as Hot Rod Café donated 20% of all food sales to the youth organization in order to help with programs and other resources. Then, for the remaining days of the month, a donation jar was located at the bar for guests to show their support and donate to this worthy cause. And as each person made a donation, guests had the opportunity to show others their support simply by writing their name on stars, which decorated the walls of Hot Rod’s throughout the month of June. Donations were accepted in increments of $1, $5, $10, and $20.

The Boys and Girls Club of Southeastern Connecticut is a local organization whose goal is to inspire and enable young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
