Hot Rod Café Raises $1,000 for New London Little League Baseball in May

NEW LONDON, Conn. (June 3, 2014) – Hot Rod Café, located at 114 Bank Street in New London, supported New London Little League Baseball throughout the month of May. The campaign kicked off on Monday, May 5th as Hot Rod Café donated 20% of all food sales to the city’s youth baseball league in order to help with equipment, uniforms, and travel expenses. Then, for the remaining days of the month, a donation jar had been located at the bar for guests to show their support for the city’s little leaguers and donate to this worthy cause. And as each person made a donation, guests had the opportunity to show others their support simply by writing their name on stars, which decorated the walls of Hot Rod’s throughout the month of May. Donations were accepted in increments of $1, $5, $10, and $20. Total donations amounted to $1,000.00.

Hot Rod Cafe opens at 3:00 p.m. from Monday thru Wednesday and at 12 noon from Thursday to Sunday, and specializes in chicken wings in 24 different flavors. Other appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, and entrees are available as well.
