Catherine Dempsey Tonucci, 65 of Kure Beach, N.C., formerly of Waterford, passed away in North Carolina on June 07, 2014.
Cathy was born on April 11, 1949 in New London, the daughter of the late John C. and Alberta Scates Dempsey. She was married to Norman Tonucci and had worked in the hospitality industry for many years.
A memorial mass of Christian burial will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 19, at St. Joseph’s Church, 17 Squire St., New London.

Burial will be private in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Mystic. Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington St, New London is assisting her family with the arrangements.
