Foreclosures Down In NL County

Numbers from April 2012 show a decline from both March's rates and from 2011

Some good news for New London County--April foreclosures are on the decline, according to The Bulletin.

An article from The Bulletin citing data from RealtyTrac Inc. says that April foreclosure rates in the county have declined 5.21 percent from March, and nearly 15 percent from April 2011.

The same goes for both statewide and nationwide rates of foreclosure in April--both of those are below March 2012 and April 2011 numbers.

According to the article, New London County saw 91 foreclosures in April. Connecticut saw 1,197 in that time and the total number nationwide for April was 188,780.
