Little "Angels" Wash Cars To Help A Friend In Waterford

Proceeds from Camp Dash's car wash fundraiser will go to benefit Morgan's Angels of Hope.

A passing shower helped rinse away the suds in the middle of Camp Dash's car wash at Great Neck School in Waterford on Wednesday, but it didn't put a damper on the event.

The car wash, a fundraiser for Morgan's Angels of Hope, was going until 3 p.m., with all proceeds to help Morgan Santangelo, a Waterford girl with cerebral palsy.

Meaghan Lineburgh, a director at Camp Dash, said the kids held a car wash last year that raised $200 for the animal shelter, so she's hoping that they'll be able to raise at least that much this year for Morgan.

So if you need a car wash, stop by Great Neck School. The kids are ready with sponges in hand.
