Golf For Glenn Landers—A Fundraiser At Cedar Ridge in East Lyme

Landers was paralyzed from the neck down in an accident last July. All money raised will go to help pay his medical expenses.

The second annual Fun Day of Golf for Glenn Landers will be held October 12 at Cedar Ridge Golf Course in East Lyme, with tee times of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. All the money from this fundraiser will go to help pay Glenn Landers continued medical expenses.

The East Lyme man sustained a neck injury in a trampoline accident during a family party in Waterford on July 15, 2012. The accident left him paralyzed from the neck down and dependent on a ventilator to breathe. He remains hospitalized, but his family and friends hope to be able to bring him home soon.

The cost of a round of golf is $75 per person, and includes hot dogs, hamburgers, and refreshments. Nongolfers are also invited to attend the event and participate in the many raffles that will be held on the day.

To find out more information about the event, or to donate a raffle item or to sponsor a tee for $50, please contact Tom Yuhas (860) 235-3651 or Nancy Shepard (860) 625-4165. The rain date for this event is October 13.
