Black Dog Gives To Waterford Animal Control

With a name like The Black Dog, the decision to give to Waterford-East Lyme Animal Control seems logical but it's mighty neighborly of the Mystic store to make a donation.

The Black Dog General Store in Mystic will be holding an "After Hours" fundraiser tonight from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. to benefit Waterford-East Lyme Animal Control's shelter.

Tickets are $5 and include desserts and appetizers provided by "The Wired Bean," and coffee provided by The Black Dog. All store merchandise will be discounted 10 percent for the duration of the event, so it's the chance to get a good deal too. Either way, it's definitely a good deal for the animal shelter. The Black Dog will be presenting a check to Waterford-East Lyme Animal Control this evening.

The store is located at 27 West Main Street in Mystic.
