An Anonymous Donation Offers Waterford's Neediest A Helping Hand
A local business, which wishes to remain anonymous, donated $500 worth of Stop & Shop gift cards to help Waterford families in need.
Tis the season of giving and, even though the presents have all been unwrapped by now, one local merchant is still very much in the spirit. A generous-hearted local business, which wishes to remain anonymous, has donated $500 worth of Stop & Shop gift cards to needy families.
The donation was made to Waterford Police Department, which plans to pass the cards along to Waterford Youth Services so they will be distributed to families in Waterford that need a helping hand.
According to Waterford Police Department's facebook page, the business owner hopes to make similar donations throughout the year. It's spontaneous acts of generosity such as this that really embody the spirit of giving and help make Waterford a community that cares.
