In a sales environment, service is extremely important. Real estate agents state that they give good service, but do they? What does good service mean? Yes, I am guilty that I advertise GREAT SERVICE and I do my best to fill the shoes.
Recently, I experienced great customer service. I was experiencing difficulties with my snow blower. The problem was getting the machine to start. The repair company would pick the blower up replace all the fluids and the machine would start with no problem for them. Of course the next time it snowed, I took the blower out of the garage only to find out I own a big paper weight. The owner of the company came to my home, got the blower working so that I could clean my driveway and he returned later that day to pick up the machine so that he could get it fixed. Further, this last time they found a faulty part. They had me pay for the part, but I was not charged for any labor. John from Advanced Power Equipment, of East Lyme, made me feel that I was important and has earned my respect for future business. Thanks John.

How do you measure customer service? Connecticut Magazine names the top 5 percent each year. They state that about 6 percent of real estate agents are named to the list. Connecticut Magazine has been doing this for 4 years and I have received the award 3 times. You will find me listed in the March issue.
I personally judge myself. When working with a client, it is important to me that he/she gets educated in the home buying process, understand a money pit when they see one, and mostly get the pertinent information so that he/she can make the proper decision.
