Waterford High Senior Rocks Malloy Town Hall

A question by a senior at Waterford High School was the highlight of a town hall meeting with Gov. Dannel Malloy Thursday night that focused mainly on gun control.

Waterford High School Senior Emily Stuchell got the biggest applause of the night.

Thursday, in Norwich, Gov. Dannel Malloy held a town hall meeting where he took questions from the public. Stuchell, who is a competitive shooter, questioned why the governor is focusing on gun control when she said he should be focusing on increasing mental health services.

The question drew the largest applause of the night. Guns and gun control was the focus of the town hall, with many members of the public questioning why Malloy is insisting on stricter gun controls, with Malloy giving his reasons for doing so.
