Waterford Police Search For Alleged Car Thieves

Alleged thieves ran away from police after a car chase through at least two towns and are now fugitives of the law.

A press release from the Waterford Police Department:

The Waterford Police Department was involved in a police pursuit with a stolen car this morning at 7:30 a.m. The vehicle, a black 2003 Pontiac Grand Am 4 door, was chased into New London, ending on Ashcraft Street. The vehicle was originally stolen from New London and was involved in a "suspicious vehicle" call in Montville at 3:30 a.m. near Montville Town Hall.

Three younger black males in dark clothing ran from the vehicle and officers were unable to catch them on foot. The vehicle was recovered and returned to its owner by the New London Police Department.
