Waterford Police Release Name of Man Found Dead Friday Night

Kyle Seidel, 34, of Waterford was found dead Friday night from an "inflicted" wound to his chest.

The Waterford Police Department has confirmed that 34-year-old Kyle Seidel of Waterford was found dead Friday night in the parking lot in front of Waterford’s Family Bowl from a gun shot wound to the chest.

Seidel was married with small children, according to his Facebook page.

The cause and manner of death is pending the results of an autopsy being conducted at the office of the Chief Medical Examiner, according to the Waterford Police Department. The investigation into Seidel's death is being conducted by the Waterford Police Department's investigative services division, the New London County States Attorney’s Office, the Connecticut State Police and the Eastern District Major Crime Squad, according to the release.

The Waterford Police Department is seeking any information from the public. Anyone who may have observed any activity in the area of the Family Bowl between 7:50 and 8:20 p.m. or may have witnessed either the victim or his vehicle, a black Ford Focus traveling on Boston Post Road, is urged to call the Waterford Police Department at 860-442-9451. All calls will be kept confidential.
