Snowstorm Expected to hit Waterford, Starting Today

A snowstorm is expected to begin this afternoon and last until Friday.

The National Weather Service is predicting Waterford to be hit with a snowstorm today that will last until Friday.

Here is the latest forecast from the service:

Today: Rain and snow likely, mainly after 3 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 41. Breezy, with a northeast wind 17 to 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Tonight: Snow. Low around 33. Breezy, with a northeast wind 22 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 41 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Thursday: Snow before noon, then rain and snow. High near 38. Windy, with a north wind 29 to 31 mph, with gusts as high as 41 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Thursday Night: Snow likely. Cloudy, with a low around 33. Windy, with a north wind 23 to 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Friday: Snow likely before noon, then a chance of rain. Cloudy, with a high near 42. Breezy, with a north wind 22 to 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Friday Night: A slight chance of snow showers before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 30. Blustery. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 43.
