Transition Meeting Tonight

  1. Today should be cold. A high of 27, with 20 to 25 mph winds, and then tonight it will get down to 12, according to the National Weather Service.
  2. Tonight, at 7, there is a 8th to 9th transition meeting for parents of current eighth-graders at Clark Lane Middle School. At Oswegatchie Elementary, Mrs. Dusza’s girl scouts meet in the art room at 3:15 p.m. and Mrs. Menders’ cub scouts meet at 5:30 p.m. in the art room. And chicken nuggets are for lunch today at all schools.
  3. Today, story time runs at the Waterford Public Library at 10 and 10:30 a.m. And at the Waterford Community Center, cribbage starts at 8:30 a.m., then pitch at 9:30. After lunch, pinochle starts at 12:30 p.m. and chair yoga is at 2:15 p.m.
  4. The Board of Education building committee meets tonight at 5:30 p.m. So far, the committee is projecting from the $68 million project. However, the group is considering spending extra money to irrigate all the high school athletic field, an idea condemned by Board of Finance Chairman Ron Fedor at the last Board of Finance meeting.
  5. First off, February 15 means there is two more months to do your taxes. Also on this date in 2005, youtube is launched.
