3. Today from 4 to 5 p.m. will be in the children’s section of the for a “reading timeout.” The timeout is part of the WNBA’s Read to Achieve program.

4. At its Jan. 9 regular meeting, the Police Commission approved removing a “No Left Turn” sign from Niantic River Road prior to East Wharf Road, according to commission minutes. Traffic Officer David Anderson said the sign was put up during construction at , and construction has since ended at the site, according to the minutes of the meeting.
