Daily Five: Merry Christmas From Patch!

Five things to know for Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012.

1. Merry Christmas! I hope you enjoy the day and Santa treats you well.

As far as the weather, it could be better. There is a chance of snow and freezing rain in the morning, with a high near 42, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight should be clear, with a low around 24, according to the service.

2. It is Christmas, and as you would expect, everything is closed.

Town Hall is closed, along with all other non-essential government offices. They will reopen Wednesday. Additionally, there is no school today in Waterford, and there won’t be until Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013.

3. The one thing that is open today is Waterford’s Regal Cinemas, which welcomes three new movies.

Django Unchained, a new movie by Quentin Tarantino, plays at 12:05, 3:03, 6:50 and 9:35. Les Miserables, a musical based off of the Victor Hugo novel, plays at 12, 3:20, 7 and 10:20. And Parental Guidance, starring Billy Crystal, plays at 12:45, 4:15, 6:45 and 10:25.
