Five Things To Know For Monday, Dec. 12, 2011

1. Today should be sunny, with a high of 45, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight should be clear, with a low of 27, according to the service.

2. Last week, The Day wrote an editorial about , and Sunday The Bulletin did the same. That piece, written by Ray Hackett, pushed for the expansion of nuclear power and for the state to streamline the licensing process for a new reactor (currently it can take more than a decade).

3. This evening, Mother Goose at Night will be held at the from 6 to 6:30. The program is for children 3-and-under and includes music, movement and, of course, Mother Goose books.
