3. The annual State of Waterford address is Wednesday, February 1 at 8 a.m. at this year, according to Bruce MacDonald of the First Selectman Dan Steward, State Sen. Andrea Stillman and the superintendent, among others, gave speeches at the event.
Tickets to the event are $5 for chamber members and $10 for everybody else, according to MacDonald. To reserve a ticket, call the chamber at 860-701-9113.

4. Tonight from 5 to 8, is holding a fundraiser for, according to resident Cindy Mei Baude. People will pay $5 to eat, with the money going to benefit the Waterford High School Class of 2012, according to Baude. All are welcome, Baude said.
