Five Things To Know For Thursday, March 8, 2012

1. Today should be mostly sunny, with a high near 59, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight, there is a chance of scattered showers, with a low around 43, according to the service.

2. There was a Board of Education meeting scheduled for tonight, but it was cancelled. At the meeting, the board was expected to saying they were paying too much in health care premiums.  

3. Do you love a parade? If the answer is yes, make sure you head to New London on Saturday March 17 for the 1 p.m., start of the annual Irish Parade. Adding to the green this year will be Patch, which is a sponsor of the event. Patchers will be marching in the parade, and hurling our signature green t-shirts into the crowd, so make sure you go!

4. at the from 9 to 11:30 a.m., put on the by the Goshen Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. The cost is $7 per person for adults, and $3 for children.
