1. Today there is a chance of snow and freezing rain before 9 a.m., with a high around 46, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight there is a chance of rain before midnight, with a low around 32, according to the service.
2. Waterford has cancelled school today. School was cancelled Friday as well, and an entire week was missed because of Superstorm Sandy. We will find out if this will impact the school district's calendar.
3. There is also no trash pick-up today. The town has not yet announced if it will double-up on trash pick-up on Tuesday or how they will make it up. Once we find out we'll post it.
4. There are three town meetings tonight, all of which are open to the public.
The Ad Hoc Animal Shelter Facility Study Committee, aka the group trying to build a new animal shelter, meets at 5:45 in Town Hall. The Planning and Zoning Commission meets at 7 in Town Hall and the Police Commission meets at 7 at the Waterford Police Department.
