Daily Five: Final Update On Police Officer Investigation

The Connecticut State Police finished the investigation, and found no criminal wrongdoing “whatsoever,” and no arrests were made, Police Chief Murray Pendleton said. Pendleton said he is still working on a final report, although “there is not much I can do with it because he left.”

Hutchings was originally hired as a Waterford Police Officer in 2009.

3. Lawrence & Memorial Hospital has opened a new wound and hyperbaric chamber at 40 Boston Post Road, according to a press release from the hospital.

The center will help people with ulcers, post-surgical wounds, traumatic wounds and other chronic, non-healing wounds, according to the release. There are two hyperbaric oxygen chambers at the center, according to the release.

“Wound care is an area of care that has seen tremendous growth in the past several years,” said Crista Durand, L&M’s Vice President for Strategic Planning and Marketing, in the release. “This new facility is L&M’s latest way of meeting the needs of our patients.”
