Waterford’s Emily Feldman has been diagnosed with Moyamoya Disease, a rare, life-threatening disease that affects the arteries around a person's brain. Emily, 10, is a fifth-grade student at Oswegatchie Elementary School.

Tonight at 7 there is a bowling event at to raise money for Emily and her family. Tickets are $12 a person and along with bowling, there will be raffles, a light and sound show and kids will be able to meet their favorite Star Wars characters.

3. Wednesday morning, the state unanimously approved a request by Town Clerk and Municipal Historian Bob Nye put on the state's historic register.

Now that the building is on the register, developers can qualify for tax breaks up to 30 percent if they choose to rehabilitate the building, Nye said. However, the town recently . In no way will it being on the register hamper knocking down the building, but it does make it easier for a developer to save the building, Nye said.
