3. We have good news and bad news for Waterford's sports teams. Waterford High School's softball team plays today in West Haven for a chance to go to the State Class M championship game. Waterford (21-1) is the second seed in the tournament

However, the fourth-seeded Waterford High School baseball team was upset by 21st-seeded Sheehan Monday, 3-0, in the State Class L tournament.
