CPSC, Distributor Are Recalling Mexican Wrestling Action Figures

The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission and the Lee Carter Company are voluntarily recalling Mexican wrestling Super Luchamania action figures because the surface paints on the figures contain toxic levels of lead, according to a release forwarded by the

About 7,000 packs of action figures were sold nationally between June 2000 and October 2011, according to the release. The Lee Carter Company of San Francisco distributed the figures.

The action figures were manufactured in Mexico. So far, no injuries have been reported from the paint, according to the release.

Consumers should immediately take the action figures away from children and return them to the Lee Carter Company for a full refund or credit towards a replacement product, according to the release.
