Perspective and Playfulness

Sometimes we need to take a different person's perspective before jumping to conclusions. Its not all fun and games. Its not all tantrums and bratty behavior.

What is your perspective? Do you have all the information? A lot of times we don't have all the right information and we jump to conclusions. We judge on what we see without stepping back and trying to see from the other side of an argument or situation. When dealing with children I believe that happens quite often and as adults we get caught up in 'how things should be'. I was struck by an article I read about Sensory and Movement Differences in Autism. I could not imagine things I take for granted might be so overstimulating that they could actually be painful to others.
When you see a child behaving 'inappropriately' what do you think as you walk by? Is that child having fun or is it a tantrum? If it is a tantrum, what is really happening? Before we judge others, remember that unless we know the rest of the story, we can't judge a book by its cover.
Some families just need a little compassion.
Be that person.
Question to consider: Are all the people in this photo having fun?
