Waterford Public Library...and others

     Visited the Waterford Public Library, which I consider to be the best library in the region. (I would say that even if I hadn't been employed there!) While there, I spoke with Miss Christine in the Children's Room as she was getting ready for the start of this summer's reading program "Dig into Reading!"  My husband and I just returned from an Alaskan vacation, where libraries, although small, welcome visitors by providing free Internet (it is very expensive on cruise ships) and clean bathrooms (although coffee houses and bars may offer free wifi, you do have to purchase a beverage and may have limited time at a table in a place that might be very noisy!!!!!!!!!!!!) I was happy to see that they were also doing the same summer program as WPL, and the librarians and I shared thoughts on it!!!! 
     Waterford PL also provides a warm and welcoming location to visitors and residents alike. They offer many services, and one that literally just started is the availability of magazines that can be borrowed online with your WPL card and read it from your computer or e-reader. How cool is that!!!
