CLMS Winter Concert for Grades 7 and 8

The annual CLMS Winter Concert on February 1, 2012 will feature the 7th and 8th Grade Orchestra, the 7th and 8th Grade Chorus, the 7th Grade Band and the 8th Grade Band. Of note will be a commemoration of the start of the Civil War in 1861 through music.  The 7th Grade Band will perform "Echoes Of The Civil War" by Mark Williams with narration and the 8th Grade Band will perform "American Heritage March", again with narration, but the story will contain information regarding the role Connecticut played in the Civil War.  It will be a great opportunity for everyone to see how History, Language Arts and Music can be combined with Literacy to create something very special!

On February 8, 2012, the CLMS Winter Concert will feature the 6th Grade Orchestra, Chorus and Band and will feature "The American Heritage" with narration and chorus and audience participation.  The piece is about the historical events that have defined our country.
