The Summer Reading Sale at The Charity Bookshop has been extended and will run through Saturday, August 25. Books written by such popular authors as Tom Clancy, Mary Higgins Clark, Patricia Cornwell, John Grisham, James Patterson, Nora Roberts and others will be on sale at one-half our normally low prices. All of our gardening books and our travel paperbacks will also be offered for sale at half-price.

The Charity Bookshop is a great local destination, especially on a rainy day. Readers will find deep discounts on new and used books ranging from $0.50 for small paperbacks to $2.00 for hardcover books. A few special books are marked at $5.00. We have a large selection of children’s books that we sell for one-half the prices charged for adult books. Our shop carries both fiction and non-fiction.

The Charity Bookshop is a non-profit bookstore that benefits The Child and Family Agency of Southeastern CT. The shop is staffed by volunteers, who are members of the Groton Auxiliary of the Child and Family Agency. We welcome donations of clean, gently used books.

The Charity Bookshop is open on Wednesday and Saturday from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM and on Thursday from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Our bookstore is located in Trails Corner at 591 Poquonnock Road, Groton, 06340. You can reach us by telephone at: (860) 449-8217 ext. 1128 and by email at bookshop@cfapress.org.
