The Charity Bookshop is a non-profit bookstore staffed by volunteers from the Groton Auxiliary of The Child and Family Agency of Southeastern CT. Books marked with blue dots will be on sale at half-price through June 30.
We have some good books that may disappear after June 30. As of June 21, "Atonement" by Ian McEwan is still available in our hardcover fiction area. And we have a really good selection of blue dot books in our paperback section - perfect for summer reading! Then, there are the art books, travel books and gardening books throughout the store.......
The Charity Bookshop offers readers unbeatable prices on new and used books. Regular prices range from $0.20 to $2.00. A handful of very special books are marked at $5.00. Our goal is to raise money for the Child and Family Agency and to promote reading.
The Charity Bookshop is open on Wednesday and Saturday from 10 AM until 4 PM and on Thursday from 2 PM until 6 PM.
