Trees Honor Waterford Soldiers Killed in Action

Three Waterford heroes are remembered during ceremony Sunday.

Three trees were planted into the grounds of the newly renamed Captain Arnold E. Holm Jr. Memorial Park. Sunday.  

A velvet pillar was planted in memory of Ari Cullers, an Army staff sergeant who was killed in Afghanistan in October 2011. A weeping cherry and a white lilac were planted nearby in memory of Cullers’ friends and classmates Marine Cpl. Kemaphoom "Ahn" Chanawongse and Army Staff Sgt. Edwin Rivera, according to a report in The Day.  

Patch reported earlier that, Marine Cpl. Kemaphoom “Ahn” Chanawongse died in Iraq in 2003 and in 2010, Staff Sgt. Edwin Rivera died in Afghanistan.
