Never has a severe thunderstorm watch been met with more excitement.
The National Weather Service is predicting heavy thunderstorms for tonight, mainly after 9. Heavy rains are expected, with a half-inch to three-quarters inch of rainfall expected.
The good news? The storm should mean the end of the area's three-day heat wave, which has put Saturday should be much cooler, with a predicted high of 82, and Sunday much the same, with a predicted high of 80, according to the service.
