A tree limb fell onto power lines on the Niantic River Road in Waterford, causing a power outage in the area at around 11 a.m. Connecticut Light & Power was on the scene fixing the problem.
Coincidentally, CL&P has plans to trim trees from along power lines in the area this week. Most people affected have received permission slips in the mail. Don't forget to sign these so that we can avoid problems in the future.
