Oswegatchie’s Santa Runs Begin Next Week

Santa Claus is coming to Oswegatchie starting Monday.

The Oswegatchie Fire Company will be doing its annual Santa runs next week, when Santa will drive through town on a fire truck and collect items for needy members of the community.

Starting Monday and ending Thursday, Santa will be leaving Oswegatchie Fire Company each night at 6:30 to collect non-perishable food items, new toys and monetary donations to pass along to the Waterford Youth Service Bureau. Waterford Youth Services uses the donations for its annual adopt-a-family program, where needy Waterford families are given presents and food for Christmas.

The Oswegatchie fire truck is decorated with Christmas lights and Santa rides in the back. The full schedule for the four-day event is as follows:

Monday, December 10th- Pamela Way, Mallard Lane, Scenic View Drive, Oswegatchie Road and all side streets to the corner of Oswegatchie and Oswegatchie Road

Tuesday, December 11th- Park Drive, Plant Drive, Konomac Ave, Shawandassee Road, Niantic River Road to Miss Vans Court, Locust Court, Fulmore Drive

Wednesday, December 12th- Niantic River Road, Tenth through Fourth Avenue

Thursday, December 13th- Spithead Road, Ina Blvd, Paula Lane, Doyle Road, Memory Lane, Stone Street, Sunnycrest, Sunnyside, Rockridge, Marilyn and Melanie Drive
