Icy Roads This Morning Means Delayed Opening For Waterford Schools
This morning's commute will be slick but roads should be clear and dry by this afternoon.
The promised wintry mix arrived in the wee hours on the shoreline, making roads and pathways slick for this morning's commute. Waterford Schools have delayed their opening this morning by 90 minutes.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory through to 9 a.m. The precipitation, which is a mix of ice pellets, sleet, and rain that began early this morning, will become all rain by 11:30 a.m. and is expected to stop completely by this evening.
Roads should be dry in time for this afternoon's commute. The high temperature today will top out at 45 degrees and drop to 30 degrees.
