Family Fun Planner September 28 – October 4

Fall Into Fall

Wednesday, September 28th:

Snappy Smiles
When/Where: 
1:30 p.m. at Children’s Museum of SECT
Cost: $9 member/$15 non-member (includes child admission)
If You Go:  Children ages 4-6 will enjoy learning about how crocs and alligators! 


Friday, September 30th:


Building Zone
When/Where: 
10:30 a.m. at Children’s Museum of SECT
Cost: $9 member/$15 non-member (includes child admission)
If You Go:  Children ages 3-5 will build with blocks and recycled materials! 

Folk On The Farm
When/Where: 
 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Fort Hill Farm
If You Go:  The smell of summer still lingers as folk music fills the air each Friday night at Fort Hill Farm.  Enjoy a night on the farm with music and Farmers Cow ice cream made right at their on-site creamery.


Saturday, October 1st:


Free Family First Saturday
When/Where: 
 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Lyman Allyn Art Museum
If You Go:  Design and build your very own skateboard sculpture or mini fingerboard!  Special guest appearance at 2 p.m. by XGames Gold and Silver winner, Alexis Sablone! 

Fairy Tale Trail
When/Where: 
 October 1-31 at the Florence Griswold Museum
If You Go:  The grounds and gardens transform into an enchanted site for fanciful fairy tale fun through October 31st!  Nearly three dozen artists and designers delight all ages with their creatively themed works.  Talk a self-guided tour of the fairy tale trail and so much more.  Visit the website for a complete list of the month-long events. 

Waterford Farmers MarketWhen/Where: Saturday's from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m./Waterford Town Hall Parking Lot
If You Go: Truly shop local and get fresh summer veggies and herbs. They have native grasses, perennials & hanging baskets too! Check out the fresh baked breads & pastries as well as local art and jewelry, soaps, pottery, tie dyes, and sea glass jewelry!


Sunday,  October 2nd:

Free Arboretum Tour
When/Where: 2 p.m. at Connecticut College Arboretum
If You Go:
Enjoy the beauty of the Conn College Arboretum with your family. Tours are free and open to the public.
