Hi, it's so interesting to read about your 'Fall into Fall' activities in Waterford CT. I'm writing from Waterford, Ireland where we just celebrated the end the season with a big Sea and Surf Festival. It celebrates Michaelmas - and part of the tradition here in Tramore, Co. Waterford - way back in the 1920s was to have a parade and cast a seaweed doll into the sea. This tradition has been re-established and I thought you might be interested in a slideshow which gives my highlights of the weekend culminating in the casting out of the seaweed doll. http://wp.me/p1ip9d-i0 Best wishes, Jean Tubridy
