All Access Adventure Series Hike

Machimoodus State Park entrance in Moodus, CT. Flat and leisurely paced hike. All Access Adventure Series - Social Opportunities for all individuals and families to enjoy the great outdoors in their own unique way. A coordinated effort with Sensations Charitable Foundation, Appalachian Mountain Club, and Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center to bring all families, nature, education, and exercise together. Come enjoy a leisurely walk in Moodus, CT along the banks of the Salmon River and the trails through Machimoodus State Park and learn how to identify and manage invasive species that threaten the local habitats. Dr. Charlotte Pyle of the NRCS (USDA Natural Resources Conservation Resources) working in conjunction with the Appalachian Mountain club and staff from Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center will offer their knowledge of invasive species in our own backyard while staff and volunteers from Sensations Charitable Foundation will be on hand to support the individual needs of youth and young adults with disabilities. An opportunity for the whole family to come together and individually enjoy being outside.
