Daily Five: Waterford Police Raising Money To Find Murderer

Five things to know for Friday, April 26, 2013.

1. Today should be sunny, with a high around 62, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight should be clear, with a low around 38, according to the service.

2.  The Waterford Police Department has begun fundraising to help catch whoever killed 34-year-old Kyle Seidel.

Seidel was murdered in Waterford on Dec. 21, his body found in the parking lot of Waterford's Family Bowl. Now the Waterford Police Department is trying to raise $1,270.88 to send a flier to every home in Waterford, asking if they know anything about the death.

3. This morning there is a free blood pressure clinic at 8:30 at the Waterford Community Center. The clinic is open to all.  
 
4. Two new movies open today at Waterford’s Regal Cinemas. 

The Big Wedding, (R), a romantic comedy starring Robert DeNiro and Diane Keaton, plays at 5:15, 7:30 and 9:45. And Pain & Gain (R), an action comedy starring Mark Wahlberg and The Rock, plays at 4, 6:55, 7:20 and 10.  

5. On this date in 1933, the Gestapo – the official secret police force of Nazi Germy – was established. And on this date in 1865, Union cavalry troopers killed John Wilkes Booth.
