Court Date Still Pending For Man Charged With Possession of Child Pornography

Brian J. Hague, 34, formerly of South Beechwood Road in East Lyme, appeared in New London Superior Court on Tuesday for a pretrial hearing. Hague was arrested on February 4, 2013, and charged with possession of child pornography in the first degree

Hague was one of a number of men arrested following a State Police Computer Crimes Unit investigation into the possession and distribution of child pornography through the use of internet file sharing networks between August and November, 2011.

Hague, who turned himself in to State Police Troop E, was released after posting a $50,000 bond but he is under the supervision of the Judicial Branch's Alternative in the Community program.

As a condition of his release, New London Superior Court Judge Susan B. Handy ordered that he was to have no unsupervised access to a computer and that he submit to biweekly drug tests.

In the arrest affidavit, the detective conducting the investigation noted that home Hague was renting in East Lyme was three houses over from a playground. Hague has since moved and now lives in Waterford. Hague's hearing was continued to August 15.
