WATERFORD SOUTH 11/12 ALLSTARS MOVE ON WITH THEIR QUEST

Waterford South moves on with a WIN over Burlington.
In as much as I was not at the game, I will provide the detail/information that I was provided.
(1) Starting Pitcher, Nick Porazzi, pitched 4 2/3 innings and was relieved by Shane Beckloff who pitched 1 2/3 innings and was relieved by Noah Speller who only needed to throw one (1) pitch and was involved in the game winning Double Play.
(2) Peter Turello hit a 2 Run Home Run. That makes at least 4 Homers for the tournament so far. Way to go PETE.
(3) Nate Landon had a ground rule Double scoring 2 runners.
(4) Nick Porazzi hit a Double.
(5) Daniel Annibalini went 2 for 2 at bat while Dylan Bosco went 3 for 4 at bat.
Burlington also hit a Homer with 2 runners on base.
Final Score Waterford South 11 - Burlington 5.
This WIN keeps Waterford South alive to play again tomorrow against the Team (Coginchaug) that sent them to the losers bracket. Should be a BATTLE.
The game tomorrow initially scheduled to start at 1PM has been moved to a 3PM start.
Should Waterford be fortunate enough to win they will play the Winners Bracket Winner South Windsor on Tuesday but they will need to beat them twice since South Windsor does not have a loss yet in order to win the Section 2 Sectionals and earn the right to play the winner of the Section 1 Sectionals to become State Champs.
