The Ned Show comes to Quaker Hill School

Quaker Hill Elementary School students got a big surprise on Wednesday, March 11 when the NED Show rolled in and wowed the crowd with yo-yo stunts, magic tricks, and a lesson on building character. This presentation was sponsored by the PTA as part of the Box Tops for Education fundraising program. The school received 10 cents for each box top that students had collected.
An audience of about 370 students was treated to a display of yo-yo talents as the presenter introduced the concept of “NED”, which stands for “Never give up, Encourage others, and Do your best.”  This program helped support the Quaker Hill climate improvement initiative “Say YES to Respect”, which focuses on respecting “Yourself, Each other, and your School”.Jordon Dunkerley, 3rd grader, said “I thought the NED show was awesome.  Now I know how to be a champion, and I learned cool yo-yo tricks!”Written by Mr. Macrino's third grade class
