Salvation Army and Kiwanis Club Team Up For Back To School

Do you live in either New London, or any of its surrounding towns such as Groton, or Waterford. If you do, the The Salvation Army - New London, CT, and The Kiwanis Club of New London would like to either have your help--or give you help.

This Corps is currently seeking people who are willing to purchase new school supplies, (Usual items such as back packs, pens, pencils, etc..) that can be given to students grade k-8, who will be returning to school at the end of August. If you are able to do so, the drop off final date is August 13th.

If you are a parent/guardian of children in this area, and you are having a tough time with the economy that can detain you from getting all of the proper items for your grades k-8 (child)ren to return to school with, The New London Corps (11 governor Winthrop BLVD) and The Kiwanis Club of New London invites you to come to the Corps Building on Tuesday, August 6th, between 9 am and 3 pm, in order to fill out the applications to receive these items for free for your child(ren). Please bring a picture ID, along with the birth certificates for each child, proof of residence, proof of guardianship, (if you are not the custodial parent), and proof of grade the child is entering, (Last year's report cards, transcripts, school registry letter).

For more information on this program, or to make arrangements for a drop off--please call The New London Corps directly at (860) 443-6409 and talk to Captain Melissa Borrero, or Bessie Childs (Office manager)
